The Weeknd Drops New Single ‘Double Fantasy’ feat Future for HBO Series Soundtrack

The Weeknd makes a highly anticipated return today with the release of ‘Double Fantasy,’ the lead single from the soundtrack of his upcoming HBO series, The Idol. The track features a guest verse from his frequent collaborator Future, with whom The Weeknd has previously teamed up on four songs, including their most recent collaboration, ‘Comin Out Strong’ from Future’s 2017 album “HNDRXX

The HBO show, The Idol, created by Abel Tesfaye aka The Weeknd, Sam Levinson, and Reza Fahim, is scheduled to debut on HBO and Max on Sunday, June 4. The show has also been selected for a screening at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Starring The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, the series boasts an ensemble cast that includes Dan Levy, Hari Nef, Mike Dean, Moses Sumney, Rachel Sennott, Hank Azaria, and Jennie of Blackpink

The Weeknd is set to embark on a European tour this summer, with two exciting stops at Brussels’ King Baudouin stadium. While the first show, scheduled for July 11, has already sold out, fans can still secure their tickets for the additional date on July 12. Tickets for the show are available for purchase on the Live Nation website.
