The organizers of Werchter Boutique and TW Classic, two one-day festivals that take place on the holy ground where Rock Werchter takes place, have announced that both festivals won’t be happening in 2024. “It’s a decision that was not taken lightly, an announcement we would rather not make.” The organizers further reveal that they have worked hard over the past months to put together a top-notch line-up for both festivals, but in the end they made the difficult decision to cancel both festivals.
The official statement:
Our one-day festivals, Werchter Boutique and TW Classic, will not take place in 2024. This is not a decision that was taken lightly, and it is an announcement we’d rather not have to make.
Over the past months, much hard work has been done to put together great line-ups for each of these festivals. But today, unfortunately, we have concluded that we can’t pull this off. There are several reasons; for example, headline acts whose plans changed, or for whom no suitable date could be found; and roadworks being carried out near the Festivalpark, which means we cannot hold any festivals this year until after mid-June. Our standards are high. We always aim for the best. Mediocrity is not an option.
We thank you for your understanding. We know that many of you were looking forward to your favorite festival, and we regret having to disappoint you. We’ll make it up to you in 2025!
