On 1 April (Fox Day), BABYMETAL announced the release of their forthcoming album Metal Forth, due out on 13 June via Capitol Records. As a follow-up to that announcement, the band have just unveiled a second single, ‘From Me To U’—their long-awaited collaboration with the singer Poppy. The track comes with an official music video, which you can watch below.
In a press release, BABYMETAL said :
“A kawaii metal song was born from a collaboration between BABYMETAL and Poppy! Check out Poppy’s shouts and BABYMETAL’s dance in the Neo Tokyo setting! Kawaii is sprinkled throughout the intense sound! Kimi ni todoke!”
Poppy adds :
“I have been a fan of BABYMETAL for years and I am so happy for this song to finally be here! They have inspired me so much – enjoy from me to u!”
BABYMETAL are set to embark on their largest European tour to date, joined by special guests Poppy and Bambie Thug. The tour will make a stop in Belgium on 10 May at Forest National. Tickets for the show are still available via the venue’s official website.
