Merzbow / Iggor Cavalera / Eraldo Bernocchi

Three singular forces from across noise, metal, and experimental sound unite for a premiere project: Merzbow, the legendary project of Japan’s Masami Akita, who has defined harsh noise since the early 1980s; Iggor Cavalera, co-founder of Sepultura and a pioneering heavy drummer whose practice has transformed the meaning of percussive force; and Eraldo Bernocchi, a veteran Italian sound sculptor who has moved fluidly through punk, industrial, and illbient projects, working with everyone from Bill Laswell to Harold Budd and DJ Olive to Giovanni Lindo Ferretti. The trio comes together for a forthcoming release on Bill Kouligas’ PAN.
