NSG

An explosive blend of UK rap, Afro rhythms, and dancehall energy — made to set the crowd on fire

“The Afroswing collective usher in supergroup status with a vibey new mixtape.”
Clash Magazine

NSG stand at the forefront of the UK homegrown music scene and are the most culturally relevant Afroswing collective on these shores. This year the trailblazing, East London six-piece of Ghanaian and Nigerian descent – made up of Kruddz, Mxjib, Mojo, OGD, Dope and Papii Abz – celebrated 10 years together by releasing their highly-anticipated debut album ‘AREA BOYZ’.

As the undisputed pioneers of the vibrant Afroswing genre, which has dominated charts and speakers over the past few years, the 19-track album shook the afro music scene and beyond . The tracks feature collaborations with exciting acts from across the world, such as Cameroonian-American breakout star Libianca and long-time collaborator JAE5 on the album’s new single ‘Tonight’, Nigerian music sensations Seyi Vibez and Odumodublvck, Ghanaian Hip-Hop act Sarkodie, French rapper MHD and UK homegrown acts Aitch and Tion Wayne.

With Executive production from 4Play and further production from the likes of BGRZ, Rise N Shine, Diztortion, Legendury Beatz and Steel Banglez, the album showcasex the group’s one-of-a-kind artistry and sound. Blending their signature fusion of laidback Afrobeats, UK and US Hip-Hop, tropical Caribbean inflections and Amapiano has helped them to garner a staggering amount of streams across their releases. NSG took over the summer with a sold out ‘Make Afroswing Great Again’ show at the Outernet, a globally viral rock version of their hit single ‘OT Bop’, a music video of the year contender for ‘NELLA ROSE’ and much more. With a UK Top 10 and a slew of Top 40 hits, AREA BOYZ has catapulted them even further internationally
