Originally rooted in Rovaniemi (northern Lapland), Lordi achieved its international breakthrough after a spectacular victory at the Eurovision Song Contest (2006) with the hit ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah’. Characterised by monstrous lyrics, bizarre ideas, terrifying costumes and theatrical acts, the unconventional band has since worked its way into the spotlight. With ‘Lordiversity’ and ‘Screem Writers Guild’, the Finnish shock rockers proved in recent years that they still know how to give audiences the jitters in a unique way that is both creepy and catchy.
