Myrkur
Under the stage name Myrkur, Amalie Bruun has been carving her own path within heavy music for the past few years. The versatile artist amassed three studio albums, two EPs and a theatrical score. Myrkur effortlessly weaves Danish folk roots and black metal into a dynamic, genre-bending mishmash.
Where albums M (2015) and Mareridt (2017) injected black metal with emotions that alternately delighted and harrowed, 2020’s Folkesange found refuge in the archetypal stories of Scandinavian folk, blending old and new songs into an album that connects the individual and the universal.
