NIKI
Barely 25 years old, she already has a CV many a singer-songwriter could envy. And that is what NIKI will prove this autumn in Belgium for the first time. On Sunday 27 October, the Indonesian singer-songwriter will perform at La Madeleine in Brussels with her ‘Buzz World Tour’. Tickets are available from Friday 17 May at 10am via livenation.be.
As a schoolgirl in Jakarta, Nicole Zefanya – NIKI’s real name – could only dream of global stardom. With the support of her classmates and family, love poems she wrote in English class and acoustic guitar covers of pop songs on YouTube, she managed to make that dream come true in no time. At the age of 25, NIKI has over three billion streams worldwide, plays sold-out shows and festivals around the world and her songs were used for the soundtrack of a Marvel film. On 9 August, she will release her third album ‘Buzz’, for which she drew inspiration from female songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks and Carly Simon. NIKI is definitely one to watch, and she can do so live at La Madeleine this autumn.
