Distant makes Trix the origin of madness

Another deathcore night in Trix, Antwerp with heavy weights Distant, Enterprise Earth and The Last Ten Seconds of Life.

Pennsylvanian heavy weights TLTSOL

“We are The Last Ten Seconds of Life from Pennsylvania, let’s play some rock and roll, baby!” Tyler roared, just before all hell broke loose on the first song ‘Of All Humanity, the Sum‘ with vocalist Tyler Beam shouting “This is your punishment!”.

Their second song was an act of ‘Liberation‘, getting heads moving and legs swinging across the mosh pit.  The vocalist possessed an impressive vocal range, hitting incredibly raw lows.
Destruction continued with ‘Annihilation Phenomena‘ and the incredible double bass skills from drummer Dylan Potts. The song ended with a seismic breakdown.

They had the fans singing along on ‘Pain is Pleasure‘ and closed with a last banger in ‘The Box‘ during which boxes were literally brought on stage; René Gerbrandij, the drummer from Distant joined them on stage, delivering powerful, guttural screams.

Screams from the depths of hell

Enterprise Earth started heavy with first song being ‘Reanimate // Disintegrate‘ featuring a crushing four-part breakdown and a killer guitar solo by the hands of Gabe Mangold.

Next song ‘Spineless‘ was perfect for getting the circle pit moving, filled with screams and clean backing vocals.  A brief drum solo riled up the crowd before the room was turned upside down during ‘The Failsafe Fallacy‘ which vocalist Travis Worland dedicated to the OG fans. This song began with pig squeals and quickly escalated into a wall of death.

The time had come to present the new EP Descent Into Madness to Belgian fans with 3 handpicked new songs called chapters.
Chapter ‘I.The Descent‘ featured a two-second break on the words “Curtains closed, it’s fucking ovеr!” before a killer breakdown hit us right in the face!
Chapter ‘V.Enough.‘ was a short song lasting not even 2 minutes, aiming to throw more breakdowns at us.
Chapter ‘III.Shadows Below‘ featured more of the mighty high screams and got fans off their feet.

After hearing the new chapters it was time to go back in time to the year 2019 with the song ‘Ashamed To Be Human‘ featured on the album Luciferous. Travis dedicated this song to his Pennsylvanian brothers in The Last Ten Seconds of Life.

Psalm of Agony‘ was heavy and mid-song, Travis asked for a brief moment of rest for the crowd to gather closer for the guitar solo before he took over again with his razor-sharp highs, ending the song with an epic breakdown; which resonated in their last song ‘You Couldn’t Save Me‘ being a relentless assault of a series of breakdowns.

Dutch-Slovak kings of unrelenting breakdowns

Distant was clearly eager to present their newest album Tsukuyomi: The Origin with the first songs being ‘The Pale Moonlight‘ and ‘Fleshweaver‘ which immediately got people spinning and limbs swinging.

Travis joined Alan Grnja on stage for the song ‘Torturous Symphony‘ with both screamers unleashing a heavy mosh pit… But wait, the mosh pit got even more intense from the start of ‘Loveless Suffering‘, ending with a final killer breakdown.

Moving on with an older favorite residing on their first album Tyrannotophia called ‘Heirs of Torment‘ which was clearly to the liking of the OG fans. For this song Tyler joined Distant on stage, making it even more special!

After a bit of nostalgia it was time for more new songs with the first one being ‘The Undying‘ which featured an amazing guitar solo preluding the breakdown. ‘Acolytes of Damnation‘ on the other hand was a fast-paced track that ignited a circle pit.

Hellmouth‘ sounded dark and menacing, like it was coming straight from hell.  This more down-tempo song, with a killer breakdown, brought a different kind of chaos to Trix.
For the next song Alan asked everyone to get down and wait for the drop, only to be reborn, ‘Born of Blood‘.
