Halflives is no longer an unknown name for us and so we are happy to welcome the Italians back to Antwerp for another great night.
New kids on the block in Italy
Being their first time in Belgium, the young men in Lost Zone were excited to leave their home in the Italian Alps to present us their music. The first song ‘Leftovers‘ set the mood for the night with a blend of clean vocals, screams, catchy melodies and breakdowns. ‘Shadow of My Memory‘ began with a groovy feel which eventually culminated in a breakdown, featuring the powerful screams of guitarist Elias Oberschmied.
They moved on with ‘Fighting Demons‘ , a more emotional song about battling depression and suicidal thoughts, which featured vocalist Florian Mahlknecht on guitar.
The next song opened with beautiful clean vocals before the song ‘Burst Like Dynamite‘ and transitioned into a party anthem, featuring a breakdown initiated with the words “Like the fire breaks the night, you’re the one that fears the light. Now you burst like dynamite!”.
The band shifted gears with ‘Away from Severity‘ a song with a more emo pop-punk sound. This song was followed by ‘All Again‘ from their latest album Ordinary Misery which was released last year.
To please the fans even more, they covered Bring Me The Horizon‘s ‘Drown‘ , encouraging audience participation with a singalong before everyone kneeled down. at the request of the band.
Elias even stepped off stage to play the next guitar part surrounded by fans.
Before leaving the stage they closed their set with their biggest hit ‘Blacked Out‘ which once more proved the perfect symbiosis between both vocalists.
Lost Zone was definitely a band that has the potential to get far. Buona Fortuna!

Setlist: Leftovers – Shadow of my Memory – Fighting Demons – Burst Like Dynamite – Away from Severity – All Again – Drown (Bring Me the Horizon cover) – Blacked Out
Golden girl on her Golden Era Tour
Day 1 of the Golden Era Tour, and they couldn’t be more excited. Halflives proved their worth many times before but now they are back in Antwerp to present their new EP How Much a Heart Can Take Before It Breaks.
To the sound of a heartbeat, Halflives launched their set with a brand new song called ‘No Way Out‘. They followed up with an older song ‘Fugitive‘ which had everyone clapping along. The groovy sounds of ‘everybody knows it‘ got the crowd dancing.
With the notorious words “Time to get a bit nasty” Linda Battilani announced the next song ‘Snake‘ which indeed got the temperature rising in Kavka Oudaan. ’jealous.‘ was the perfect follow-up song to keep the sexy atmosphere alive with a little dance choreography fit for purpose.
Linda picked up her guitar for a new song called ‘perfectly broken‘. This song explored the theme of befriending one’s inner demons rather than fighting them. It transitioned seamlessly into ‘Mayday‘ with the fans singing along to the chorus: “Take me, come and take me away. Save me, can’t you hear my mayday?”
The tempo slowed down for the next song ,’Oblivion‘, where Linda‘s angelic vocals resonated beautifully. Following this emotional interlude, which visibly moved Linda, the positive ‘Vibe‘ was restored with a more powerful song and Linda joining her fans off stage.

‘Rockstar Everyday‘ began slowly and seductively with Linda playfully testing if the fans remembered the lyrics. And of course they did! Everyone sang along on the chorus, following her lead “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Rockstar everyday! Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Rockstar everyday!”.
Halflives continued with a catchy pop song called ‘Dynamite‘ which in my opinion could get them far in any music contest. Forget about “Eat Sleep Work Repeat” , from now on it is ‘Eat Sleep Work Die!!! Repeat‘. This new song started slowly but ended with a bang before the band rushed off stage.
Fortunately, they returned with a new song, being performed live for the first time.
Beginning as an emo song, it gradually built in intensity, leaving everyone in a state of ‘Permanent Damage‘.
They followed up with a classic where Linda playfully declared herself being our ‘Victim‘ for the night.
One lucky fan had his phone taken on stage by Linda, capturing intimate moments both on and off stage.
The final song ‘Immortals‘ served as a powerful statement against the haters. And so they bid goodnight with the uplifting quote “Let them burn us. Together we will rise up. We’re going higher. Going up, going up. Don’t you know that we are immortals.”
Noteworthy to mention that the band has great potential because of their music and stage presence, but more importantly because of their genuine interaction with each other, fans and photographers alike. Hope to you see soon!
