Blackout Problems has collaborated with Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari for their latest single, ‘GLOFS’. The title stands for Glacial Lake Outburst Floods and is inspired by the devastating floods in Germany’s Ahr Valley in 2021. This track will be included on their upcoming album, RIOT, set to release on 23 February via Sony Music. Pre-orders for the album are available now HERE. Talking about working with Rou Reynolds, frontman Mario Radetzky said :
“At first, I didn’t believe that this idea could turn into reality. Then suddenly, two or three months after the request, I had a WhatsApp from Rou Reynolds with a Dropbox link. We took his first draft straight away because it was so magical and just fits perfectly! It’s a small lifelong dream that’s coming true for us”
Commenting on the video, he adds :
“For the first time in our band history, we invited fans for a shoot. Around 75 of them were present. Of course, they had no clue that Rou Reynolds would be there for the shoot as well. So the surprise was huge and everyone was incredibly happy.”
Blackout Problems will soon embark on a European tour in support of Enter Shikari. They are scheduled to perform in Belgium on 19 February at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. Tickets for this concert can be purchased from the venue’s website.
