Cassyette has announced her long-awaited debut album titled This World Fucking Sucks, set to be released on August 23 via 23 Recordings. Alongside this announcement, she has shared the singles ‘Why Am I Like This?’ and ‘Ipecac’.
‘Why Am I Like This?’ comes with an accompanying video, which you can watch below. Speaking about the album, Cassyette says:
“I’m so excited for the release of my first album. I’ve put in so much work and I’ve collaborated with so many amazing and talented people and I’m so grateful to see it brought to life. Since my Dad’s passing, I’ve tried my best to not surrender to the darkness that comes with grief. It’s from that darkness that This World Fucking Sucks was born, and I really hope to do him proud, and that anyone that’s going through the same thing takes comfort in listening to it. We’re in this together.”
In addition to the album announcement, the singer also unveiled a headline tour for spring 2024. The tour is slated to kick off on April 01 in Cardiff, England, and conclude on May 01 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Unfortunately, there are no Belgian dates scheduled for this tour, but you can find the full list of dates on the poster below.
