French metalcore band Novelists has revealed their new singer, Camille Contreras, who is also a member of Bliss Sigh and Apache. She succeeds Tobias Rische (Alazka), who temporarily filled the position of original singer Mattéo Gelsomino after he left the band in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. Regarding the addition of Camille, the band said :
“Camille was the unexpected lifeline we desperately needed. Her talent and energy revived Novelists at a time when we were at our lowest. It’s unbelievable how the right person crossed our path when we needed it most. We are thrilled to introduce the new and definitive iteration of Novelists and are immensely proud of the music we’ve crafted together, representing the very best of our journey”
The band’s debut song with Camille, titled ‘Turn It Up’, marks a change in Novelists‘ sound while retaining the band’s recognizable DNA.
