Simple Plan releases a video for the new version of “I’am Just a Kid” with LØLØ.

A few weeks ago, Simple Plan released a new version of “I’am Just a Kid” with Lølø exclusively for the Amazon music platform. Today the Canadian band unveils the video for this new version of their hit song which turned 20 this year.

About this collaboration Lølø says :

“It’s not every day that one of your favorite bands of all time asks you to feature on arguably one of the most iconic songs of your generation. If you would have told 7-year-old me that one day I would be singing this song WITH SIMPLE PLAN, instead of in my basement alone, I would have probably dropped dead on the spot. Working with the guys on this version of ‘I’m Just a Kid’ and getting to sing it with them on stage at So What Fest has definitely been one of the coolest experiences of my life. P.S. I’m still convinced this isn’t actually real and I’m being punked”.

Simple Plan added:

“Now more than ever, we appreciate the gift of having songs that resonate with people of all ages and backgrounds and become an important part of their lives. ‘I’m Just A Kid’ has been one of these special songs for us and we’re so grateful for everyone who has listened to it and enjoyed it over the years. It has become a signature song for our band, especially after the craziness of the TikTok challenge and the billions of plays that came with it. As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the song release, we thought it would be fun to give our fans a new updated version of the song with our friend LøLø. We always loved collaborating with young artists that keep pop-punk fresh and exciting and it’s rad to be able to use our platform to showcase their talent. This is what our scene is all about. We hope you enjoy this new version and can’t wait to see you on tour all over the world!”.

Lølø is currently touring Europe as a support act for Leah Kate and will be in Brussels on Tuesday at the AB Club! Tickets are still available on the venue’s website
