Tenacious D are back with their first original song in five years. The duo made up of Jack Black and Kyle Gass have revealed the song ‘Video Games’, an ode to video games with a country touch.

Speaking about the new track, the band said:

“It’s about growing up and leaving childish things behind… but then realising that video games are more than just mindless toys,. In fact, they can be a true expression of huge ideas that belong in the pantheon of great works of art. It’s about time someone defended the honor and integrity of this bold new horizon. Leave it to the greatest band in the world…Tenacious D!!!”

The band will be touring Europe this summer, stopping off at Forest National in Belgium on 13 June. Tickets are on sale on the venue’s website
