Pulled Up under a Blood Moon Glow : Lil Tracy at Trix

On 15 November 2025, Antwerp’s Trix venue was quivering with excitement from the afternoon onwards: Lil Tracy was finally making a long-awaited stop in Belgium for his Blood Moon Tour, a concert eagerly awaited by the die-hard fans of the famous emo rap collective GothBoiClique! Throwback to this chapter of the Blood Moon Tour that will stay etched in Antwerp’s memory.

Atmosphere Rising: Hackle & Nedarb Open the Night

To make this date even more special, Tracy brought along a rare one-two opener combination: Hackle followed by Nedarb. Hackle, also known as Hackledown, set the tone right away with a raw and fast-paced half-hour performance. Drawing inspiration from Divine Council and Sickboyrari, Hackle has been pushing his sound relentlessly since 2020 and is now part of Sematary’s collective Haunted Mound. The 25-year-old rapper from San Jose now represents the new generation of American underground rap, mixing modern hip hop, drill touches and darker trap sounds into his production. His energy didn’t dip for a second as he tore through his set, hitting the crowd with songs like ‘Gunsmith’ and keeping the intensity high from start to finish.

Nedarb, a key figure of the underground rap world and a producer known for working with major artists such as Xavier Wulf, $UICIDEBOY$ and Ghostemane took over next. Having worked as DJ on one of Lil Peep‘s tours, Nedarb carries a certain credibility for fans of this scene. And to be honest, his twenty-minute set perfectly blended his work for the scene upfront, pushing even more the crowd into full anticipation mode before Lil Tracy’s arrival. Switching between his own productions and carefully chosen tracks meant to raise the crowd’s energy, Nedarb created a mix that felt both nostalgic and electrifying by also mixing in several Lil Peep songs into his set. A fun and almost meta moment came when he dropped ‘Under Your Spell’ by Snow Strippers. Fans immediately picked up on the nod, especially knowing that Nedarb, Tracy and Horse Head released the ‘Under Your Spell‘ EP (exact same title) back in 2023. Whether intentional or a fun coincidence, it was a detail that I genuinely appreciated !

Awful Things, Beautiful Night: Tracy Found His Crowd at Trix :

A few minutes later, Lil Tracy appeared on stage ! The light dimmed briefly and the first hyperpop notes of ‘PuLlEd uP InaH B3nZ LeFt iNSIDe ah rANG3r0v’ from his new album Babyvamp (2025) echoed through the Trix. On the crowd side, the tension instantly exploded as this Blood Moon Tour show had been building anticipation for months, especially after the widely praised show by Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, founder of GothBoiClique, at Kavka Oudaan in January 2024. Now, it was finally Tracy’s turn to take over Antwerp. Although he toured Europe in 2024, Tracy hadn’t stepped foot in Belgium, making this November 15th date feel even more meaningful. His arrival wasn’t just exciting for the audience… It also felt significant as the night was carrying an emotional weight. Lil Peep, Tracy’s best friend and closest artistic partner, had performed at Trix in 2017 in what would later be remembered as a legendary show. Two months after that performance, the world lost him. And now, eight years to the day of his passing, Tracy was performing in the same venue.. It’s hard to imagine how much courage it must take to face a moment like that where grief, love and memories collide. And to me, the room felt it deeply. There was a quiet sense of respect for Tracy, for what he was carrying and transmitting during his set.

The crowd, for its part, showed up fully committed to the GBC aesthetic. Everywhere you looked, different personalities and styles collided. Nu-metal inspirations, 2000s nostalgia and the signature GBC look all blended together: spikes, oversized baggy pants, chains, metal studs, faux furs, chapkas and more. It felt like the venue had turned into a time capsule of emo-trap and SoundCloud subculture. Touring alongside Tracy, Lil Yawh was, in my opinion, the perfect example of the scene’s fashion and attitude !

As for Tracy’s set, finding an accurate setlist was challenging as some of the tracks seem to vary from night to night. It appeared that in tribute to Lil Peep, Tracy included more of their collaborations and shared tracks than usual. Fan favorites like ‘Awful Things‘, ‘i crash, u crash‘ and ‘giving girls cocaine‘ delighted the audience celebrating the legacy of the iconic duo. Of course, Tracy also dug into his own discography, moving between the atmospheric cuts of Tracy’s World (2018), the raw energy of Anarchy (2019) and the glossy hyperpop influence of his latest project Babyvamp (2025). Each transition allowed us to navigate Lil Tracy’s universe, moving from a melancholic emo-rap vibe with ‘Beautiful Nightmare‘, ‘Shame‘ and ‘Pictures‘ to tracks more inspired by current hyperpop, such as ‘Bowser‘.

Together, the first two acts delivered nearly 50 minutes of rising intensity, fully locking in the crowd before Tracy’s arrival. Considered one of the most influential artists of his generation with billions of streams, millions of albums sold and a distinctive blend of hip-hop, emo, punk, trap, and cloud rap, Lil Tracy remains a key figure of a scene born on SoundCloud and now embracing the world. This Trix show proved it once again. Belgian fans, who rarely get the chance to see artists from this movement, had been waiting for this moment for a long time and Tracy offered far more than a simple set : he delivered a tribute, a deeply personal performance and a new chapter in the ongoing story of the GBC !
