Forever, the name of Eagles Of Death Metal will be attached to the Bataclan. We’ll never forget they were the band playing in the venue when the terrorist attack happened. So many people would have stop their carrier after such a trauma – and no one would have blame them – but they decided to continue. And more than 6 years later, they are still here and with the smile on their face, seems they find the way to live with this tragic memory. Thankfully.
To warm-up the public, the band invited Dead Sara as opening act. Their influences from the 70’s was easy to reckon but still had some authenticity. With the time to play 9 songs, they mostly played songs from their album “Ain’t It Tragic” including the very good All I Know Is That You Left Me For Dead. But too bad they didn’t play their cover of Nirvana, Heart Shaped Box.
Set-list: Good Times, L.A. City Slum, Lights Out!, Mona Lisa, Hypnotic, Gimme Gimme, Mr. Mr., All I Know Is That You Left Me For Dead, Weatherman.
After this great warm-up, it was time to welcom the starts of the evening on stage, Eagles Of Death Metal. Only one song (I Only Want You) and we knew we gonna have a good time. The American band is happy to be there, always ready to party. So are we! Jesse Hughes likes to make joke with the public and share his energy with all the fans.
I Want You So Bad, I Love You All The Time, Speaking In Tongues, Complexity… they played almost all their best hits! Guitar solos, covers, jokes. We got everything we can expect from a rock show. It was the first time we saw them after the tragic events in Paris – it was for sure the case for other people here – so it was of course a bit emotionnal for us.
Set-list: I Only Want You, Don’t Speal, Anything ‘Cept The Truth, Complexity, Silverlake, Secrets Plans, Cherry Cola, Flames Go Higher, Now I’m A Fool, I Want You So Hard, Whorehoppin’, I Love You All The Time, Moonage Daydream, I Like To Move In The Night, Speaking In Tongues.
