There was no eureka moment in Amanda Tenfjord’s life when she realised she was a musician. She has simply always been one. The 25-year-old Greek/Norwegian singer started playing the piano at the age of five, and from then on it was almost destined, in a way, for her to live her life in music. Tenfjords’ confidence makes for catchy pop songs, while her modesty endows each song with a deep, resonant humanity. His pop music makes you feel alive.
In 2022, Tenfjords juggles her life as a medical student and indie pop star, her music having spread across the world since the release of her debut EP in 2018. Acclaimed by publications such as TheFADER and NME, her songs have travelled the world with support from Spotify and Apple, as well as in the Netflix series ‘Spinning Out’ and the NRK/BBC3 series ‘Nudes’.
Tenfjords’ haunting voice and powerful stage presence have also taken her to various festivals such as Reperbahn (DE), The Great Escape (GB) and Eurosonic (NL), as well as several tours in Norway. In May 2022, she was the official representative of Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest. With her self-written song “Die Together”, which was also produced by Bjørn Helge Gammelsæter, she helped Greece achieve 8th place, one of the best positions Greece has achieved in recent years.
