DEATH GOALS
Death Goals released their second album ‘A Garden of Dead Flowers’ in May 2023. The album explores themes of secret encounters, queer representation, fears, addiction and community acceptance. The duo (Harry Bailey and George Milner) are now seen as a queer hardcore band, with their experiences with that label documented in their music. With a more varied sound from energetic opening tracks to deeper songs like ‘A Garden of Dead Flowers,’ the album offers an engaging anthology of lived experiences, infused with hope and togetherness.
KNIVES
Knives is a post-punk band from Bristol and released their EP ‘Newshounds’ in April 2023, followed by a striking cover of Kate Bush’s ‘Babooshka’. Their pop-inspired style gives punk a fresh twist and with this they conquered a spot on the UK alternative circuit. Their new EP ‘What We See in Their Eyes’ will be released on 3 May, just before their performance at the 2000 Trees festival. With energetic live performances and critical anthems, they also previously impressed alongside bands such as Mclusky, CLT DRP, Tokky Horror, LIFE and Enola Gay.
