Rare, talented and authentic. elbow is undoubtedly one of the leading bands on the international music scene. The Manchester-based foursome’s style is compelling, thoughtful and fearless. Their live shows are always a raunchy musical hit, whether they are in a venue or at a festival. Since their first, historic performance at Rock Werchter in 2006, Belgian audiences have never let them go. Guy Garvey, Craig Potter, Mark Potter and Pete Turner possess a touching chemistry and an undeniable know-how. Their magnificent discography, with brilliant titles like “Magnificent (She says),” “Lippy Kids” and “Gentle Storm,” can be found in the best playlists. Frenzied atmospheres, full sounds, strong lyrics, sense of detail…. elbow masters the musical craft to perfection. So it is no coincidence that the band has won numerous awards, including a Mercury Prize (2008) and multiple BRIT Awards. On March 22, elbow will unveil “Audio Vertigo,” their tenth album, which includes the singles “Lovers’ Leap” and “Balu. The recipe works brilliantly.
