Following 2 sold out shows at the Trix in Antwerp, ELECTRIC CALLBOY announces its first arena show in Belgium, with the ‘TEKKNO TOUR ’23’, at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp on March 2nd 2023.
After testing the waters assiduously at the Trix with not one, but two wild shows just a week ago, ELECTRIC CALLBOY is ready to take on the Lotto Arena on March 2nd 2023. There’s no question of waiting, you have to forge the iron while it’s hot! While the audience is still recovering from their high-energy set, one of the hottest live bands in modern heavy metal is showing no mercy and is already announcing their next tour, following the release of their new album TEKKNO, due in September.
Sold-out shows all over Europe and the release of numerous record-breaking singles are proof of the outstanding status the German band has achieved so far. “Because the Hypa Hypa 2022 European tour sold out so quickly, we’ve decided to bring the madness back on stage next year! With new songs, a brand new show and the ultimate power of TEKKNO!” they explain.
Formed in 2010 as Eskimo Callboy, the band has already made a lot of noise in their first decade of existence, winning newcomer awards and causing a stir around the world. But that was just the prelude, because since the arrival of singer Nico Sallach in 2020, their success has been meteoric!
Hypa Hypa, the first single with Nico reached over 60 million listens on the various streaming portals. We Got The Moves, whose video is particularly funny in their typical self-deprecating style, received a lot of attention worldwide. It will be included on the new TEKKNO album, as will Pump It, which was so well received by fans that they demanded that the song represent Germany at Eurovision. As promised, the band spontaneously filmed an official application, which was rejected on the grounds that the song lacked radio appeal. This triggered a storm of indignation against the jury, resulting in a petition with over 125,000 signatures!
Dancing, sweating, jumping and singing, all washed down with confetti, as ELECTRIC CALLBOY is set to set the Lotto Arena on fire on 2 March 2023!
