Grandson
Canadian American Jordan Benjamin is sometimes called the future of rock music. But as far as we are concerned, that is way too much pigeonholing, especially for him. Under the name Grandson he brings his own unique style. Think fiery guitars with rap influences, trap beats, greasy drops and inspiration from electronic music. A bit like Twenty One Pilots. But above all typical Grandson. Brutal, raw, politically correct. And with a solid live reputation.
You may know his songs from the movie Suicide Squad. He also collaborated with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and makes music that focuses on social themes. In May he will release his most intimate, personal and vulnerable record entitled I Love You, I’m Trying – on which he turns inward and shows a version of himself that we have never seen before. Curious? Appointment on Oct. 8 at Trix!
