High Vis
High Vis is the yellow jacket of the British music scene. The group interprets the sighs and frustrations of the working class. The name is short for high visibility clothing, which they say is the flashy fluorescent clothing that unites hardworking Britain. Members of the London-based outfit previously served with iconic hardcore bands such as Dirty Money and Tremors. The charge remains largely intact under the new banner. But the execution is warmer and more subtle. The debut ‘No sense no feeling’ (2019) still feels like a punch in the gut. Successor ‘Blending’ (2022) explores new horizons with surprising influences like Gang Of Four, Joy Division and The Stone Roses. On impact, High Vis’ status also changes. ‘Blending’ hits the New Year’s Eve lists and the group quickly moves from small venues to big stages.
