Rival Sons

2023 will be a big year for the Americans of Rival Sons. After an explosive first single, “Nobody wants to die” that they unleashed on the world last year, the quartet continues their momentum with a second track “Rapture”. Both songs are the precursors to a new album, “Darkfighter”, due out on 2 June. But the good news doesn’t stop there, as Rival Sons confirm a new international tour that will also bring them to our capital city! The Californians will play AB on 12 November. Guitars at the ready!

Rival Sons emerged from the ashes of Black Summer Crush in 2009 and consists of Scott Holiday, Dave Beste, Michael Miley and Jay Buchanan. In their Blues Rock style, akin to Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and The Animals, the band made a name for themselves with the release of their first album ‘Before The Fire’ (2009). They bring Rock’n’Roll in its purest form, without frills or pretension. Going their own way, Rival Sons have built a discography unanimously appreciated by critics and the general public, with over 60 million streams. Thanks to the appreciation of colleagues in the business, they have shared the stage with the greats (Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Lenny Kravitz), and did not hesitate to launch their own label, Sacred Tongue Recordings. Their latest album ‘Feral Roots’ (2019) is their biggest creative and critical success to date, and earned two Grammy Award nominations in the ‘Best Rock Album’ and ‘Best Rock Performance’ categories for the single ‘Too Bad’. The best is yet to come, and we can’t wait for their seventh album ‘Darkfighter’, which will be followed by an eighth album titled ‘Lightbringer’.
