Roger Waters
The ‘Roger Waters: This Is Not A Drill – 2023 European Tour’ is not only Roger Waters’ new tour, it is also his farewell tour. The tour will visit 14 European countries, including a stop at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp on Sunday 14 May 2023.
Audiences can expect to hear all of Pink Floyd and Roger Waters’ greatest classics, including ‘Us & Them’, ‘Comfortably Numb’, ‘Wish You Were Here’ and ‘Is This The Life We Really Want? Waters will also perform new material, such as his latest song ‘The Bar’.
“This Is Not A Drill” is a revolutionary new rock and roll/cinematic extravaganza, played in the round, that is a stunning indictment of the corporate dystopia in which we all struggle to survive, and a call to action to love, protect and share our precious and precarious planet. The show includes a dozen great songs from Pink Floyd’s golden age as well as several new ones, lyrics and music, same writer, same heart, same soul, same man. This could be his last chance. Wow, I’m happy to announce that I’m doing my first farewell tour. My first farewell tour! Not to be missed”. Love R.
On stage, Waters demonstrates his multi-instrumental talents on vocals, guitar, bass and piano. He will of course be joined by some amazing musicians, including Jonathan Wilson (guitar and vocals), Dave Kilminster (guitar and vocals), Jon Carin (keyboards, guitar and vocals), Gus Seyffert (bass and vocals), Robert Walter (keyboards), Joey Waronker (drums), Shanay Johnson (vocals), Amanda Belair (vocals) and Seamus Blake (saxophone). The evening promises to be spectacular!
“Audiences leaving the show could be heard debating whether or not this was the best Waters tour they’ve seen. One thing is for sure, it’s not to be missed – and it’s also a show that will make you think deeply about the world and yourself.” ~ Ultimate Classic Rock
