Sqürl

Sqürl is the name under which cult phenomena Jim Jarmusch and Carter Logan perform. Together they form the eccentric, ever-enthusiastic rock band from the heart of New York City. Sqürl explores musical horizons that others remain blind to even with binoculars. Shattering drum solos, ripping guitars, crazy loops, sad country songs, twisted hip hop and strange film scores… it all forms one hallucinatory blend.

With their latest project, Jarmusch and Logan dive into the world of the legendary surrealist photographer, painter and filmmaker Man Ray (1890 – 1976). They were inspired by four of his films: L’Etoile De Mer (1928), Emak Bakia (1926), Retour a la Raison (1923) and Les Mysteres Du Chateau Du De (1929). On stage, they bring the music scores for these films to life in a unique, mesmerising interpretation.
