Tenacious D
Jack Black and Kyle Gass form what they themselves call The Greatest Band in The World: Tenacious D, an absolutely brilliant duo of hotheads with a totally mind-blowing multidisciplinary project. They are announcing their big return to Europe. Tenacious D will be in concert at Forest National on 13 June!
The two lads founded Tenacious D in 1994, and quickly made a name for themselves thanks to their appearance in the TV series of the same name. In 2001 they released their eponymous debut album, recorded with Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, which has gone platinum.
The film Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny and the album of the same name followed in 2006, as did ‘Rize of The Fenix’ in 2012, nominated for a Grammy in the Best Comedy Album category. In 2014, Tenacious D won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance with their cover of Ronnie James Dio’s ‘The Last In Line’. In November 2018, the duo released “Tenacious D in Post-Apocalypto” an animated film drawn by Black and dubbed by Black and Gass. Alongside the film, the band are releasing the album ‘Post-Apocalypto’, an absolutely brilliant creation that adds to their already fabulous back catalogue and later, a graphic novel.
In 2020, Tenacious D threw their fans a huge, wild party in a sold-out Forest National. Armed with their guitars, their humour and their devilishly effective melodies, Tenacious D will be back in force on 13 June at Forest National!
