Our Last Night – The finer cover band

Another Sunday night out in Trix, Antwerp.

Tonight we’re gathering for the sold-out concert of Our Last Night and the ‘You’re Up Europe’ tour, with supports from Normandie and Lifespark.

Lifespark

Lifespark brought lots of German energy on stage! Their songs were a great mix of clean vocals and screams, topped with intense emotions. The fans definitely liked the cover ‘Unwritten‘ which was a good prelude to the ample covers to come…

I don’t think many people have heard of the band Lifespark before this tour but I’m sure we will hear more of them in the future.

Setlist: Comfort In Myself – Endless Paradise – Stay Away – So Long – Unwritten – Sympathy

Normandie

Normandie , all the way from Sweden (no they are not from France…), kicked off with one of their greatest hits ‘Serotonin‘. From the first notes you could easily hear how talented vocalist Philip Strand really is!

Once again this talent was proven in the song ‘Flowers For The Grave‘ which started out with a beautiful singing part. Also great to notice, the band did everything in their power to keep a good connection with the fans throughout their set.

Setlist: Serotonin – Holy Water – Overdrive – Hourglass – Awakening – Flowers for the Grave – Babylon – Blood in the Water – Hostage – White Flag

Our Last Night

Finally the time had come everyone was waiting for: Our Last Night. This band doesn’t need introduction anymore but what made this tour extra special is the fact the setlist was more focused on their cover songs than usual.

Nevertheless, they started with an original song ‘Graveyard‘ which immediately set the right atmosphere for the night! Moving one with the first cover songs  ‘Astronaut In The Ocean‘ and ‘Habits (Stay High)‘ originally performed by Masked Wolf and Tove Lo respectively.

The fans loved it and were excited to see which cover songs would follow… But first, time for another Our Last Night original ‘Same Old War‘ which got the fans singing and dancing. Of course Ed Sheerans’ ‘Shape Of You‘ could not miss in this setlist.

After these great cover songs it was time to get the blood pumping as they unleashed ‘PAY ATTENTION‘ which was released couple of weeks ago. From here they continued with 2 originals ‘when we were broken‘ and ‘White tiger‘. And then it was time for some more cover songs such as ‘STAY‘ , ‘hot girl bummer‘ and ‘Dark Horse‘ .

Time to take it down a notch and let emotions run freely on one of their finest originals ,in my opinion. Of course I’m talking about ‘Sunrise‘.After the cover songs ‘abcdefu‘ and ‘Beautiful Things‘ it was time for them to leave the stage. But the fans wanted more… And so they returned on stage for one last cover song ‘Iris‘. Another beautiful Sunday night in Trix, Antwerp.

Setlist: Graveyard – Astronaut In The Ocean – Habits (Stay High) – Same Old War – Shape of You – PAY ATTENTION – you broke me first – when we were broken – White Tiger – STAY – hot girl bummer – Dark Horse – BURIED ALIVE – F.E.A.R. – Sunrise – abcdefu – Beautiful Things – Iris
