Last month, Poppy offered a teaser of a ferocious new track, which was immediately identified as “Spit“, the eponymous song from the Canadian metallers’ 1999 debut album Kittie.

Today, boundary-pushing artist released the complete song and the result is an interpretation that retains the nü-metal energy of the original while injecting a healthy dose of industrial aggression. His voice brings an extra level of intensity to this already formidable track. The single is accompanied by a video, directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera, which perfectly matches the glitchy and distorted aesthetic of the track. Watch and listen to the full track above.

The song was released via Sumerian Records.
