Jazmin Bean has released their brand new single “Favourite Toy”. The follow-up to “Piggie”, released earlier this year, “Favourite Toy” continues on the same theme as its predecessor, and talks about their experiences of toxic relationships, which they were unable to break.
“It looks back at my relationship with love and sex with a storytelling perspective, exploring the lengths you’ll go to when you’re conditioned from such a young age not to understand what love is. Unlike my older songwriting, this track juxtaposes sound, production and lyrics. It acknowledges the sadness I felt in my self-worth, but the song’s driving melody has an overall sense of hopefulness and catharsis.”
Jazmin Bean will be touring Europe this autumn, and will be performing at the Botanique on September 24. Tickets go on sale today on the venue’s website.
