Los Angeles-based up-and-coming rocker Miss Velvet has unveiled her interpretation of the Aerosmith classic ‘Dream On‘, recorded at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles and released on Mother Ride Records / The Orchard. The cover serves as a prelude to her new album, due out in the autumn. About her choice to cover the Aerosmith classic, Miss Velvet shares :
“‘Dream On’ has always represented the epitome of a timeless ballad, forever shaping my world as a singer. Steven Tyler’s performance on this song changed my life as a singer. When I hear his voice, it transcends gender; it became for me a revelation. The band Aerosmith, the lyrics, his voice, and the melody solidified in me what music can make you feel on a guttural and spiritual level at the same time.”
