Australian punk-rock band Stand Atlantic have just revealed the upcoming release of the deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed 2024 album, WAS HERE, set to drop on 16 May via Hopeless Records. Pre-Order HERE
This deluxe version offers fans an expanded experience, featuring previously unreleased renditions of tracks like ‘FREAKIN OUT’ with PVRIS and Bruses, and ‘CRIMINAL’ – MR. BILL REMIX. Additionally, the release will include an exciting new single titled ‘I’M THE MAN’, featuring alt-pop singer Lauren Sanderson.
Speaking about the new song, the band’s lead singer Bonnie Fraser said:
“We originally planned to drop ‘I’m The Man’ on WAS HERE, but it didn’t feel ready at the time. We’ve been working on the Deluxe Album behind the scenes, revisiting old demos and turning chaos into something worth shouting about.
This one started as a what-if —If I was a rich prick who didn’t give a fuck about anyone or anything, what would I do? That idea spiraled into a pissed-off take on how power structures look to us: out of touch, untouchable, and way too comfortable. It felt like a fitting time in the world to release this song. We linked up with one of our favourite artists, Lauren Sanderson, to bring it to life. ‘I’m The Man’ is loud, unapologetic, and hits harder than ever. It’s out now. Crank it.”
