Guess what? Palaye Royale just pulled off the ultimate musical surprise with their EP Sextape via Sumerian Records. Dropping it out of the blue, these L.A. rockers are giving us five tracks that’ll have you vibing from heavy headbangs to soft introspective feels.
This surprise drop comes after Palaye Royale’s massive year celebrating the success of Fever Dream. Sold-out shows, festival wins, – they owned it all and 2024 is set to be even bigger, with more projects and festival gigs on the horizon.
So, what’s the deal with Sextape? According to the trio, it’s that moment of complete ecstasy where the world and all its problems take a backseat. It’s that time when you can forget who you are and just bask in pure pleasure.
‘Dead To Me‘, the first single, is a standout with Remington Leith’s urgent vocals, while ‘Season Of The Witch‘ demonstrates their artistic growth with haunting vocals and atmospheric vibes. My personal favorite track is ‘Desire” that carries a dark vibe. ‘Closer’ is a cover of Nine Inch Nails, this track adds an extra layer of excitement and unpredictability to the EP, proving that Palaye Royale is unafraid to experiment with their sound and take risks.
Reflecting on Fever Dream, the band spilled the beans that making the record felt like a love letter to their musical roots, packed with self belief and empowerment. If you’re not already on the Palaye Royale train, now’s the time to hop abroad!
Palaye Royale has once again proven their ability to surprise and captivate their audience with the unexpected release of the Sextape EP. The band leaves us eagerly anticipating what’s next on their musical odyssey.
