Among the plethora of new artists from Korea, actress and singer KIMSEJEONG caught our ears with her new track “Top Or Cliff“.
A powerful song about inner strength.
The Korean invasion is definitely not over. After the various successes of K-pop and more generally of pop from the Asian country, the magic of the networks gives pride of place to the Korean hype.
Loosely inspired by the movie Black Swan, the track speaks to us of subjects that run deep in the artist’s heart, such as vulnerability and social pressure to be the best at one’s art, until she finds her strength in the chorus with lyrics like: “Yeah, i’m the right person”.
With this track inspired by The Weeknd with her haunting but real R’N’B, the multi-disciplinary artist is making the charts go wild, and is preparing for an arrival on the Asian scene. If we know how much this new pop attracts audiences, it wouldn’t be surprising to find her in Brussels in just over a year’s time ?
