The 5 shows to not miss at Trix this Winter

With 3 rooms and hundreds of shows every year, Trix is one of the most important venues in Belgium. From pop to metal, we often see our favorite acts playing there. This first full-year post-pandemic continues on this path. This is why we’ve – hardly – selected 5 shows we think you should not miss at Trix in February and March!

21 February – Bad Omens

If there’s one metal show you shouldn’t miss in this early year – not only at Trix from a Belgian perspective – is this show of Bad Omens. One of the most promising metal bands right now, next to Sleep Token and Spiritbox, is coming to the Main Room of Trix… for a soldout show. If you’re not in the 1100 lucky persons, we really encourage you to active the notifications on TicketSwap! Their third full length-album “The Death Of Peace Of Mind” released one year ago is a masterpiece and a few days ago, the song Just Pretend became viral on TikTok. These 2 factors combined helped the band to be the most promising metalcore band since Architects… who soldout the same place in October 2016. Looks where they are now!

Songs you should listen to: Just Pretend, Glass Houses, Mercy, Concrete Jungle, Never Know.

23 February – Dylan

Only 2 days after Bad Omens, back at the Trix but for a smaller show at the Club this time. The new pop sensation Dylan is bringing her “The Greatest Thing I’ll Never Learn Tour” to Belgium! If you’re fan of this new pop front-women generation like Mimi Webb, Maisie Peters or Maggie Lindemann, this is for you. And not only her but Nieve Ella, the opening act, is also an artist you should have a look at! Thanks to her success on TikTok, she’s not ready to prove on stage what she’s capable of!

Songs you should listen to: No Romeo, Nineteen, You’re Not Harry Styles, Blue, Live Without It.

27 February – Caroline Polacheck

Back to the main hall for this lovely pop evening to come with Caroline Polacheck. A few days before, Rina Sawayama will play at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. A couple of weeks before, Charlie XCX and Banks both played in Brussels too. This time, the pop sensation is playing Antwerp for what’s gonna be her very first show in our country. What a great way to start! Did you know she even won a Grammy Award?! Yes, in 2013, for the song No Angel, the famous hit from Beyoncé that she co-wrote and produced.

Songs you should listen to: Welcome To My Island, Sunset, Blood And Butter, So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings, Bunny Is A Rider.

8 March – All Time Low

No, Mom. It was never a phase! Emo forever! It’s not the When We Were Young Festival, it’s only one band coming at Trix early March but what a band: All Time Low. We can be lucky they play in such a “small” venue in Belgium, compared to the arenas in UK per example. The famous emo-pop-punk band from Baltimore celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2023 (feel old yet?!) and even if they released a new album “Wake Up, Sunshine” during the first lockdown, we can count on a sick best-off set-list so we hardly encourage you to not miss it!

Songs you should listen to: Dear Maria Count Me In, Monsters, Weightless, Tell Me I’m Alive, Sleepwalking.

14 March – I Prevail

We spoke earlier about the metalcore show to not miss at the beginning of this year: Bad Omens. Well, there’s another one you should not miss. And luckily for you, it’s also at the main room of the Trix: I Prevail are finally coming back to Belgium! After many rescheduled shows due to the pandemic, they can finally their “Trauma Tour” here. They’ve toured so much in the US but not a lot in Europe so far. The hype is so really high around them. Not only we’ll have the chance to finally catch I Prevail live but they’re bringing one of our favorite bands right now: Trash Boat! Do you have the feeling you saw them a lot recently? Well… They played at Jera On Air last Summer, followed by a show with Enter Shikari at this same Trix the day after. In December, they were around again, opening for Enter Shikari in Lille. In May, they’ll open for The Offspring in Brussels then playing again at Jera On Air in June. So if you wanna see them in a great venue but not too big, this is your chance! But like Bad Omens, put the notifications on TicketSwap to get your precious ticket if you miss the general sale…

Songs you should listen to: Hurricane, Gasoline, Scars, Self Destruction, Bow Down.
