The top 10 shows to not miss this Fall!

Slowly life is coming back to normal. At least, something quite similar than before the pandemic hit us. For the first time since 2019, we gonna have again a strong last trimester with tons of shows everywhere in the country. To help your make your agenda, we choose 10 shows we think you should not miss!

POLARIS (Kavka Zappa – Antwerp – 17.09)

Remember. January 2020, they announced their first headliner tour in Europe which was selling fast. February 2020, they released their second insane full length-album called “The Death Of Me”. March 2020, all the plans are cancelled. More than 2 years later, they can finally play their killer new songs live like Masochist, Hypermania or Creatures Of Habits. Don’t miss one of the best metalcore shows of this Fall with Alpha Wolf, Gravemind and Stepson as opening acts!

MACHINE GUN KELLY (Palais 12 – Brussels – 21.09)

From rap to pop-punk, here’s a surprising evolution. MGK released his pop-punk album “Tickets To My Downfall” which is really good even if a bit cliché sometimes… so is the pop-punk style but it’s why we love it so much. Once again, the Covid didn’t allow him to promote his new album in Europe. So he’ll be back in September for his biggest European tour so far with a brand new album, “Mainstream Sellout”.

SUM 41 + SIMPLE PLAN (Forest National – Brussels – 19.10)

Don’t worry. It’s really 2022! But like we reminded it in our live-report of the Hella Mega Tour with Green Day and Fall Out Boy, we have a strong pop-punk / punk-rock revival since 3 years. And we can only really appreciate it! Especially when one of the most legendary bands – Sum 41 – does an anniversary tours of one of the most legendary albums – “Does This Look All Killer No Filler” released 20 years ago! What would make this night perfect is that Simple Plan made it an 20th anniversary tour of their debut album “No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls”. Anyway, don’t miss it!

Machine Gun Kelly aka MGK will play at Palais 12 in Brussels on 21 September 2022.

MACHINE HEAD + AMON AMARTH (Forest National – Brussels – 21.10)

Maybe they’re not doing festivals anymore but Machine Head are still in to tour in venues. And everytime with a strong line-up. This time, a beautiful co-headline with Amon Amarth for “The Vikings and Lionearts Tour” supported by The Halo Effect (former members of In Flames). We still remember their sick show in the same venue in 2011 so we can’t wait to see them there again in 2022!

Infos & tickets on Forest National website.

NOVA TWINS (Trix – Antwerp – 01.11.2022)

An OVNI. This is how we could call them. Discovered by many thanks to Bring Me The Horizon (on tour and then on studio for their latest EP), they’re almost everywhere! Opening for Yungblud in Brussels, then playing at Slam Dunk in London before having a great spot at Pukkelpop this Summer before heading back on their first headline tour next Fall with a show – already soldout – at Trix Café. Let’s hope they’ll be able to upgrade it because it’s a shame to see them playing such a small place right now…

Infos & tickets for Nova Twins in Antwerp.

YUNGBLUD (Kavka Zappa – Antwerp – 07.11.2022)

Announced a few days ago and soldout in less than 2 days, this special Yungblud show is only on the agenda of a couple of hundreds people. And would have been soldout in less than 2 hours if it was also announced on the artist social networks. But MCLX keeps it as a great secret and the most lucky people will enjoy this intimate show between shows in arenas like Forest National or biggest festivals like Rock Werchter. Put the alerts on TicketSwap and don’t buy on the black market, it’s never safe!

STICK TO YOUR GUNS (Trix – Antwerp – 18.11.2022)

At the end of the year, when we’ll look at the best line-ups we got in 2022, this one will come quickly in our minds. Stick To Your Guns, Knocked Loose, Landmvrks. Big tour. Big hype. Big expectations. And 100% sure it gonna be a hell of a night! We saw Landmvrks in Paris and Lyon this Summer, same for STYG at Jera On Air and in France a few days before, they’re more powerful than ever. Knocked Loose delivered the heaviest show at Jera On Air too. Remembered these shows and imagine seeing them all on one evening is madness. You don’t wanna miss this one!

Infos & tickets on Trix website.

EVANESCENCE + WITHIN TEMPTATION (Palais 12 – Brussels – 21/22-11-2022)

We would have love to get this line-up 15 years ago. But better late than ever, right?! If Within Temptation played many old songs and not too much boring ones from the most recent albums, we could have a very nostalgic evening. Which could be a nostalgic week as we gonna see Nightwish in Antwerp the day before. Too big to have them 3 on the same show… Except if it was like an Hella Mega Tour in symphonic metal style. Anyway. Having both Evanescence and Within Temptation on the same tour is already sick.

Infos & tickets for Evanescence at Palais 12.

LAMB OF GOD (Ancienne Belgique – Brussels – 30.11.2022)

The Ancienne Belgique looks too small for this show but that’s the issue in Belgium: between the AB with 2000 people and the biggest arenas from 6000 people capacity, you have nothing in between. so Lamb Of God, Kreator, Thy Art Is Murder and Gatecreeper will “only” destroy the famous venue from Brussels.

Infos & tickets on the Ancienne Belgique website.

POPPY (Kavka Zappa – Antwerp – 20.12.2022)

Another OVNI on this list. Another act with a big hype. Another with a show being postponed again and again. Is this time the good one? Let’s hope so! More than active in studio, she gonna have a tons of new music to present to her Belgian fans, including us! The best way to end this year in style before enjoy Christmas and get ready for a busy 2023 first trimester!

Infos & tickets on MCLX Facebook.

There hundreds of shows booked in Belgium from September to December. This is just a short list.- with some of the bests in our opinion. Have a look on our agenda for the full list of upcoming shows and make your very own!
